Druxman has written the screenplays for seven (7) motion pictures\, including Cheyenne Warrior with Kelly Preston\, Keaton’s Cop (filmed in Galveston) with Lee Majors\, Abe Vigoda and Don Rickles\, Dillinger and Capone starring Martin Sheen and F. Murray Abraham and The Doorway with Roy Scheider\, which he also directed.\n\n    He is also a playwright with five (5) produced works to his credit.  His one-person musical play\, (Al) Jolson\, has had productions in several U.S. cities\, and his one-person straight play\, (Spencer) Tracy\, had a new production earlier this year in New Bern\, NC.  Subjects of his other plays include Clark Gable\, Carole Lombard and Orson Welles.\n\nAdditionally\, he is the author of thirteen (13) published books\, including The Art of Storytelling\, a “how to” book on writing that is used as a text in several colleges\, best-selling biographies of Basil Rathbone and Merv Griffin\, plus two mystery/suspense novels\, Nobody Drowns in Mineral Lake and Shadow Watcher.  His most recent book is Once Upon a Time in Hollywood: From the Secret Files of Harry Pennypacker\, a humorous revisionist history of Hollywood’s Golden Age and the tabloid press that covered it.\n\nHe has just finished writing his memoirs\, tentatively titled: My 45 Years in Hollywood and How I Escaped Alive.\n\nMr. Druxman and his wife\, Sandy\, have recently moved from Los Angeles to their new home in Austin\, TX.\n\n
