He assumed this position as UT’s 9th athletics director in the fall of 1981 and has consistently demonstrated superior administrative abilities and dedication to college athletics and particularly college football.\n\nDuring his tenure at Texas\, the Longhorns have claimed 12 National Championships and 97 Conference Championships.  He led the way in the creation of the Longhorn Foundation\; he has helped the Longhorns renovate or build more than $348 million in facilities\, earning his place in the Longhorn Foundation Hall of Honor\, 1997\, the Texas Sports Hall of Fame\, 2007\, the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame\, 2006\, and the U.S. Track Coaches Hall of Fame\, 2006.\n\nLuncheon fee is $15 payable on-site.\n\nCome early\, meet & greet\, be quiet & listen\, stay late.\n \n\n
