Global Problems: Local Solutions

The Austin Downtown Lions Club has a rich history in our community. Become a member in a dynamic organization that is able to:

Enable kids with diabetes, mobility impairment and vision problems to camp and play at the Texas Lions Camp and Equestrian Center in Kerrville.
Continue the work, as the founder of the Central Texas Eye Bank, with cornea transplants and vision research.
Promote Good Sportsmanship through our annual awards program for Austin area middle and high schools.
Provide college scholarships to visually impaired students.

Promote health through our sponsorship of a mobile screening unit for diabetes and other life threatening diseases. Mentor needy families through our participation in Family Pathfinders Project.
Provide free vision screening and eye glasses to needy Austin area students.
Attend stimulating weekly luncheons with speakers that keep you informed, tickle your funnybone or broaden your knowledge of Austin and the world.

Austin is a thriving, progressive community, but there are still those who need our help. Become part of a team that is making Austin a better place.
