Weekly Luncheon & Program

IT'S NOT EASY BEING GREEN
introduced by Lion Mac Ragsdale

Unless, of course, you happen to be Austin Energy. Austin has a reputation as an international green building hub, and Austin Energy is responsible for getting us on the map. Our program this Thursday will tell us all aegb logo.jpgabout the Austin Energy Green Building Program and sustainable practices in our daily lives. With the prospect of ever rising energy costs and climate change, find out what you can do locally to enjoy healthier living, greater comfort, and lower utility bills.

Our program will be given by Richard Morgan,  manager of Austin Energy Green Building. Green Building includes Single Family, Multifamily, and Commercial Green Building Programs and the adoption and implementation of the City of Austin Energy Code.
Prior to joining Austin Energy, Richard spent seven years managing not for profit, affordable housing initiatives in Austin, and more than 20 years in the private sector as a licensed general contractor.
Richard is certified by the National Development Council as a Housing Development Finance Professional and is a Project Management Professional.
He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Green Building Initiative.
