The State of Texas Music

Sara Hickman, award winning recording artist, painter, entertainer, author, and Official State Musician of Texas.

She has recorded over 19 albums, toured, and produced numerous recordings and videos. It is through her deep involvement with charitable causes, primarily those dedicated to enriching the lives of parents and children through music that Sara has established herself as a truely unique star in Texas culture. Sara grew up in Houston where she attended the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. She earned her B.A. in Fine Arts from the University of North Texas in Denton. In demand as both a singer/songwriter and public speaker, when she's not out promoting Texas music and the arts Sara makes her home in Austin with her family.
