Austin Founder Lions are invited to participate in It’s My Park Day on Saturday, March 4. The club will help pick up trash and brush at Gus Garcia Park, named in honor of AFLC Member and former Mayor Gus Garcia, who will be in attendance on March 4! 

Clean-up begins at 8 a.m. and goes until noon at the park, located east of I-35 North and just south of Rundberg Lane. You can get driving instructions online. The park is directly across from Dobie Middle School on Rundberg Lane. 

To participate, you must register on the Austin Parks Foundation website. Create an account by clicking on “log-in” in the top right corner. Once you establish an account, you will be asked to pick your park (Gus Garcia Park), agree to liability waivers, and select your t-shirt size. AFLC members need to agree to the liability waivers to participate. 

Note that tools, gloves, water and snacks will be provided, but you may want to bring your own gloves that fit and tools, like rakes, shovels or wheelbarrows. Also, be sure to bring extra water, a hat and wear closed toed shoes, long pants and a Lions shirt!
