If your roar is more a meow, come get energized and remember why you became a Lion! Service – it’s what we Lions do. Austin Founder Lions are meeting community needs in many ways, and every member’s help is needed to make our upcoming projects a success. Get the scoop on upcoming service opportunities and learn how to get involved. Get pumped up and get in the game!

In addition, we’ll be talking about upcoming training/learning opportunities and handing out a few awards/recognitions. And, maybe you’ll win a prize in a special Lions trivia contest!

About our program leader:
Lion Ann Ward is second vice president of the Austin Founder Lions Club. She also chairs the club’s Public Relations Committee and co-chairs the Texas Lions Camp Committee with Rudy Munguia and Craig Estes. Ann also is chair of the District 2-S3 Public Relations Committee and serves on the District Cabinet.

Since 2016, Ann has been a member of the Texas Lions Camp Board, serving as a District 2-S3 Elected Director. In August 2017, she was selected by her fellow Elected Directors to serve as their representative to the Texas Lions Camp Board Executive Committee. She is seeking election to her second term as a District 2-S3 Texas Lions Camp Board Elected Director.

Now semi-retired after a 35-year plus career in health care public relations/marketing, she was senior vice president for corporate communications for the Texas Hospital Association for almost 27 years. She works part-time as a communications consultant for health care clients.

In addition to her Lions work, she volunteers for the Paramount and State theatres and the Zachary Scott Theater in Austin. Her passion is travel, and she has visited more than 37 countries on six of the seven continents.
