Meg Brown Athletic Director, Ann Richards Young Women’s Leadership AcademyIntroduced by Lion Mim Hruby
Meg Brown grew up playing multiple sports in Arlington, TX. She attended the University of Texas at Austin on a basketball scholarship where she played for coach Jody Conrad for four years. During her 5th year of school, her health started to decline. It took several years to get her health back to a place where she could live a life without doctor's appointments and live every day thinking about her future. Meg Brown currently teaches Math and Physical Education at The Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders where she is healthy and loving every day.
As a cancer survivor and motivational speaker, Ex-Longhorn Meg Brown is an evangelist for hope, trust and perseverance. She attended our Sportsmanship Awards ceremony last year as a representative for Ann Richards School girls soccer team winners, and is returning the favor this year to share her heroic story.
