EyeGlasses RecyclingA year-round ongoing project is the collection of used eyeglasses. These glasses are processed and provided to overseas missions to help provide improved vision to people around the world. Heyer Summer Camp for International StudentsMembers of this club and their families welcome into their homes for about a week, young students from around the world. We provide them with activities and sightseeing opportunities. Hopefully they will learn a little more about life in the United States and we will be a little more familiar with how people in other countries live.Texas Lions Camp Work DayIn the spring of each year, members of this club and their friends strap on their tool belts and trek to the Texas Lions Camp in Kerrville. This summer camp provides a camping experience for physically disabled children and children with Type 1 diabetes. We spend a weekend with other Lions Clubs from all over Texas and spruce up the camp in preparation for the arrival of the campers.
