Lions are groups of service-minded men and women who are interested in improving their communities. Austin Founder Lions Club (AFLC) provides free vision screening to pre-kindergarten children in Austin public and private schools, and we screen children and adults at community events, such as Coats for Kids. We provide free exams and eyeglasses for children and adults who cannot afford these services. We recycle eyeglasses for distribution to developing countries around the world. We support Texas Lions Camp which serves children with special medical needs, including physical disabilities, Down syndrome, cancer and Type 1 diabetes.

As a Lion, you will:

  • Network with business people in our community and around the world

 Come Get to Know Us


Every Thursday at 12:30 pm, we gather via Zoom to have an interesting and informative program about the Austin community. Programs cover a wide range of topics from business and finance and health and education to arts, sports and entertainment. Each meeting also includes a brief report on Lions activities and projects. Check our calendar for upcoming programs.

Come to a few meetings and get to know us and what we do. If our goals are aligned and you want to join us in serving the community, you will be invited to join the group.


Submit A Membership Application


To join the club, please complete the Membership Application. A link is provided below.

Download and print the application form. Be sure to provide your complete birth date, which is required by Lions Clubs International (LCI). Submit your application, signed by your sponsor, along with your $35 application fee, to the club Secretary or your sponsor.

AFLC dues are $200/year, and may be paid in installments of $50/quarter. Your membership begins upon approval of your application by the Board of Directors. You will receive a prorated invoice for your initial quarter of membership dues. After your approval by the AFLC board, you will receive a new member badge to wear at meetings, and you will be entered in the LCI database. You also will be able to register on the club’s website and access Members-Only content.

You will be inducted into the club during a ceremony at one of our meetings. At that time, you will receive your membership pin and a certificate.
