About our Speaker:

Jeff Barker is a Public Information Officer for TxDOT’s Austin District. In his role with the agency, Jeff works on projects across the Austin area, including the I-35 Capital Express program. This project is the first major reconstruction of I-35 through the Austin corridor in nearly 50 years.

Jeff joined TxDOT in July 2024 after a 10-year career in TV news, most recently as a sportscaster at CBS Austin. In his free time, Jeff enjoys golfing, rooting for his favorite sports teams, and spending time with his wife, Jasmine, and their five-year-old son, Jace.
