Ana Carrasco Introduced by Lion Norman Tyring
Ana Carrasco is the Community Affairs officer for the Mexican Consulate in Austin. Ana provides consulate services to the Mexican community residing in and around Austin. She establishes relationships with local community agencies and leaders in order to promote and develop programs to elevate living standards in areas such as education, financial education, health, culture and sports.
Ana actively supported our Lions Club vision screening effort during the most recent annual Mexican Consulate’s community health fair in which our team screened over 150 adults and children.
About our speaker: Ana Carrasco is in charge of the Institute for Mexicans Abroad for the Consulate General of Mexico in Austin, TX. She has dedicated more than nine years serving as a bridge for communication between the local Mexican communities and the public and private Mexican institutions. Through the SRE offices she establishes strategic partnerships with community agencies, local leaders in the public and private sectors to promote and develop programs aimed at elevating the living standard of the Mexican Diaspora in key areas such as education, financial education, health, culture, sports, and leadership.
Mrs. Carrasco has a MA in Latin American Studies and a bachelor's degree in International Relations. She is passionate about education holding ECp-4 certification with six years teaching experience.
