 T. Carlos "Tim" Anderson
Introduced by Lion Greg Dew

From the crime victim rights movement of the 1990s, a program for crime victim-survivors to encounter imprisoned offenders face-to-face was developed within the Texas prison system. Thirty state prison systems have since adopted the Texas model and put it into practice. Four women - three crime victim-survivors and a plucky governor - gave this program its birth. This program is not for everyone - to be explained - but for certain crime victim-survivors it has been a lifeline that has helped them recover their very lives.

About our Speaker:

T. Carlos "Tim" Anderson is a pastor and writer. A native of Chicago, he's lived in Austin for 25 years and currently serves as the director of Austin City Lutherans, a social ministry arm of a dozen Lutheran (ELCA) congregations. He's pastored dual-language congregations in Houston and Austin and is the author of two books - one on inequality and the other on restorative justice. You can encounter him on Austin City golf courses where he cordially responds to the nickname "The Rev."

Stay After the Meeting for Special Dedication

We will be dedicating a bench provided by Trex in recognition of the 500 pounds of plastic film that members and friends of this club collected for recycling. Immediately following the meeting, you will have the opportunity to sign the bench before we process to the pavilion at TSBVI where it will be installed and dedicated. Thank y'all.
