The Honor Flight Austin mission is to transport veterans with a specific priority to Washington, D.C. to visit their memorials dedicated to honor their service and sacrifices and return them home to their families and loved ones. The goal is to help every single veteran in America, willing and able of getting on a plane or a bus, visit THEIR memorial.
About our speaker:
Steve Quakenbush, Chief Executive Officer of Honor Flight Austin, was stationed at Fort Hood Texas in the early ‘90s and knew one day he would return, he is now a proud Texan for over seven years. Steve graduated Cal Poly, SLO with a brand new butter bar and served for four years active duty and nine years reserves in the U.S. ARMY. GO ARMY! Steve has been working with Honor Flight Austin since late 2014 and looks forward to many more years honoring our Texas Veterans.
