Lissa Adams and Corina Zepeda will speak to us about the changing higher education landscape, the value of technical education, and the ways that Texas State Technical College is contributing to workforce innovation and economic development locally and throughout the State of Texas.

About our Speakers:

About Lissa Adams, Provost for Texas State Technical College in East Williamson County

An Austin native, Lissa Adams is an accomplished strategic business development professional, community advocate and trusted leader working closely with prominent industry and community partners throughout Texas for more than 20 years. In her role as Provost for the Texas State Technical College in East Williamson County (Hutto, TX), Lissa is focused on economic development and increasing the level of student, civic and industry success by working with organizations to identify workforce needs, build meaningful career pathways and share the opportunity of quality technical training and employment with community leaders and influencers. Lissa also serves on a number of non-profit and regional impact boards, including Austin Area Research Organization and the Manor Schoolhouse Foundation.

 

About Corina Zepeda, Director of Industry Relations

Corina is a strategic and creative leader with passion and experience leading transformative work in building up communities through opportunity and education. Corina has a proven record of program innovation, team building, board development, and strong community, business and education relationships.  Her work has been focused on nonprofit workforce development with both youth and adults, second chance employment, and operational management. In her role as the Director of Industry Relations for TSTC, Corina works with regional business leaders, workforce development boards, and community stakeholders to identify opportunities for collaboration, workforce development and advancement and improving the lives of others through continuing education and training.

For the safety and wellbeing of our members, guests, and TSBVI hosts, masks are required when entering and leaving the building all the way to and from the conference room, and are optional when inside the room itself. TSBVI requests we take this precaution for their students, many of whom are medically fragile.

Lunch is available for $14.00 Please register so we know how much to order. 

Assorted sandwiches:
●Turkey & Gruyere; Turkey & Provolone; Roast Beef and Swiss; Smoked Ham & Swiss; Curried Chicken Salad.
●Sandwich with Gluten Free Bread (Turkey & Provolone and/or Smoked Ham & Swiss).
●Vegetarian Sandwich (Egg Salad and/or Cheese Combo).

All sandwiches come with lettuce and tomato. Mustard and mayo on the side.


Please register by 5 p.m. on Tuesday

We order meals based on your reservations and must pay for them even if you do not show up.
If you need to change or cancel your reservation, please call 512-441-1555.

 Drive slowly on Campus! 
Remember that the speed limit at TSBVI is 10 mph.
