CPR Take 2

Patti will redefine the different between a heart attack and cardiac arrest and go through the procedure for providing CPR and using a defibrillator. Lions will have the opportunity to practice chest compressions using CPR manikins with a depth clicker and practice the application of AED pads. Please wear comfortable clothing and be ready to press hard and fast on the manikin’s chest. We will also practice the Heimlich maneuver to assist someone that is choking.

About our Speaker:
You have already read the bio from Patti’s program “CPR Are You Prepared?”. However there is more. In 1974 Patti spent a month in South America with Amigos de las Americas to give measles vaccinations in the jungle of Puto Mayo. Her claim to fame was that she never got dirty even though she spent a lot of time in grass huts and tromping through the jungle. Did you know that it rains in that area at 3:00 PM everyday. Patti was also vice president of the UT Skydiving club in 1978.
