New Ideas and Knowledge Learned at the
Lions USA/Canada Forum

 WHEN: Thursday October 5, 2023  11:45 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

WHERE: IN-PERSON at Rudy's Bar-B-Que
3914 N Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX 78756

Presented by President Patti Robinson and Past President Ann Ward

Lions Patti and Ann were among the 1,700 Lions from North America attending the Lions USA/Canada Forum in Reno, Nevada, Sept. 21-23. The Forum provided opportunities to enhance and enrich membership, leadership and community service. The Forum had 89 breakout sessions from which to choose, and the four general sessions included motivational speakers as well as LCI President Dr. Patti Hill.

Patti and Ann will share what they learned, including new ideas for service projects for club members to consider, ways to build teams and cultivate future leaders through planning, innovative ways to recognize members and improve meetings. Learning more about mindfulness and relaxation, and about various types of dementia and how to improve/maintain brain health provided practical, actionable advice which they will share. You’ll hear about the Strides Walk in which more than 600 Lions – including Patti and Ann! – took to the streets in downtown Reno to heighten awareness of diabetes. The duo also participated in their first-ever Zumba class to support a Lions Clubs International Foundation fund-raising event! They visited the more than 50 booths in the Exhibit Hall, ranging from vision screening manufacturers to service project sponsors.

Come get some fresh ideas and re-energize your commitment to Lionism!
