Austin Founder Lions Club will host the Alan Ford Memorial Golf Classic on Friday, June 5, 2026, at Lions Municipal Golf Course, which the club created and built in 1924. The golf tournament is open to four-person teams and individuals who will be paired for teams, and is formatted as a scramble with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.

The tournament includes two closest-to-the-pin contest holes, door prizes, an awards luncheon, a silent auction and a raffle with six prizes with a total value of $10,000!

Corporate sponsorships (from $10,000 to $200) are available, and the corresponding benefits will provide brand awareness to a projected ~300 individuals. Review the flyer to learn more, and register online. 

The proceeds from your participation benefit the Austin community. For the 2025-26 school year, AFLC members screened the vision of 3,132 pre-K 3 and 4 year olds, and referred 682 children (21.3%) for follow-up eye exams; the club financed more than $5,000 in eye exams/glasses. AFLC also supports children with special medical needs through Texas Lions Camp, and provides additional services in the areas of hunger, the environment, pediatric cancer, diabetes and various programs for youth.
